Fed: Barnett still holds out on hospitals deal

Western Australia remains the only holdout to the federal government's hospitals reform
deal .. after Victoria joined the other premiers to sign up today.

WA's COLIN BARNETT .. the country's only Liberal premier .. says he's disappointed
the Labor premiers and chief ministers have agreed to allow the commonwealth to use about
a third of their GST revenues to fund the hospitals plan.

Earlier .. Mr BARNETT had been excluded from a meeting with every other leader.

But Tasmanian Premier DAVID BARTLETT says he's pleased to have signed a new health agreement.

A news conference will be held in Canberra shortly.
