Fed: Latham promises more community forums
NEWCASTLE, NSW, Feb 4 AAP - Labor leader Mark Latham has vowed to hold community meetings
throughout the year until the federal election in what he describes as a return to grassroots
democracy.
Mr Latham received a rousing reception when 500 people packed a community hall in Gosford
yesterday.
This morning he will hold a similar meeting at the Raymond Terrace Leisure Centre in
Newcastle as he continues his regional bus tour on board what he dubbed the "opportunity
express".
