St. Peter's Hospital plans to spends tens of millions of dollars during the next few years to establish itself as "the most comprehensive cancer care center in the area."
Major expansion plans, scheduled to be announced today, will involve millions of dollars in new construction and modern diagnostic equipment, said Joseph Pofit, vice president for marketing and communication.
Among the plans, he said, is a $27 million addition and renovation project that includes a three-story, 25,000-square-foot addition to the hospital and 33,000-square feet of additions to three other buildings.
